this vessel is a vivid synergy of earth and fire 𓏲 shaped from sandy stoneware clay by hand using pieces of wood to create the form and texture. i glazed it with pure wood ash that melted in the firing, creating unique strokes and subtle sprinkles across the surface. the texture is slightly rough 𓂃 grounding, tactile, and alive in the hands. it evokes images of sun-baked clay after rain, iron-rich soil opening and cracking.
