i shaped this gaiwan from dark stoneware clay and carved the surface by hand. for this series, i'm inspired by traces found in nature – tree bark, river banks, soil, sandy shorelines – patterns formed slowly over time by movement and erosion. on the outside, i brushed the glaze unevenly, so it settles into the carved lines. the surface feels tactile and alive in the hands. 𓂃 this is a single piece, the only one of its kind 𓂃 holds about 100ml
