inspired by volcanic stone, i crafted this chawan from dark stoneware clay, leaving its surface unglazed so that clay can speak its beauty to you. clay has small stones inside, so i carve the bowl slightly by hand to bring out an even rawer texture 𓂃 inviting deeper presence through touch and carrying the grounding spirit of earth into your ritual.inside, a glossy glaze creates a smooth surface for whisking.
